About Padre Pio Hospice and Palliative is....
a way of caring that concentrates on dignity, comfort, and an improved quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Hospice addresses the needs of the whole individual-physical, emotional, and spiritual-with in-home skilled medical care, pain and symptom management, and emotional support.
Since a life-limiting illness has an effect on the family as well as the patient, families are an important focus of our care. Our services for families include caregiver education, emotional and spiritual support, assistance with the activities of daily living, and respite care.
Anyone can refer a patient to hospice, even patients themselves. Eligibility for hospice services must be certified by the patient’s attending physician or the hospice medical director. If you have any questions about hospice or how to begin hospice care, call us. We’ll be happy to help.
